  • Key principles of Marketing and how it contributes to operating a successful business
  • Fundamentals of the “marketing mix” (the 5 P’s: price, product, promotion, people/target market, place/distribution) 
  • How to analyze a target market and estimate market share 
  • How to conduct a competitor analysis and prepare a SWOT summary (strengths, weakness, opportunity, threat) 
  • Process for developing a marketing plan
